November's a busy month  - Please help out!

Mark your calendars for "First Saturday", Nov. 4th, 10 am-2 pm. This month's highlight is the stunning 'Miniatures' collection, generously donated by Linda Ayers. If you or someone you know is a collector, there will be some miniatures available for purchase.

As the holiday season approaches, we are seeking volunteers to help us adorn the museum with festive decorations starting from November 1st.

Additionally, we are calling for volunteers on Sunday, November 19th, at 1 pm, to assist in decorating the Vinton History Museum Tree at Hotel Roanoke for the enchanting 'Fashions for Evergreens'. Kindly inform us if you are available to lend a hand.

The splendidly decorated trees will be on display at Hotel Roanoke, from Thanksgiving Day until December 31st. We are also planning to decorate a tree for the 'Parade of Trees' on the Vinton War Memorial lawn, and we would greatly appreciate your help. Please let us know, so we can provide you with the specific dates and times.

Friday, November 10th, we will be observing Veteran's Day, and the museum will remain OPEN. We are honored to have received a donation of flags from Robert Collins, which will grace our museum lawn. Volunteers are needed to assist in placing these flags on Thursday, November 9th.

Your support and participation are invaluable to us. Thank you for considering helping us bring joy and holiday spirit to the museum and the community.

Notable holiday dates

Join us on Saturday, December 2nd for our enchanting Holiday Open House from 10 am - 2 pm. Immerse yourself in the beauty of our guided tours, showcasing vintage decor and stunning holiday displays.

Discover perfect, one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones, and don't forget to check out our delightful collection

January 3rd, 2024, for an exciting new year.

No experience needed. Just a willingness to work with glue, hot glue, ribbons, doilies, jewelry. Let us know if you can help. We will furnish some of the supplies. However, we will gladly accept broken or non-broken costume jewelry such as: necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pins, ribbon.

We will be meeting at the Vinton History Museum from 12 noon to 2 pm on November 8.
